PUPPY PURCHASE AGREEMENT & HEALTH GUARANTEE
1. Health Guarantee: The Seller certifies that the puppy is in good health and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming at the time of transfer to the Buyer.
2. Exclusions: This health guarantee does not cover minor or common conditions such as viral illnesses, infections, hernias, hypoglycemia, intestinal parasites (including giardia and coccidia), or issues arising from accidents, ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, or physical injury.
3. Genetic Health Guarantee: If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses the puppy with a debilitating genetic or congenital defect within two years of purchase, the Buyer must obtain a second opinion from a different, licensed veterinarian. Full veterinary records from both veterinarians must be provided to Walls family Doodles (WFD) for review. The Seller reserves the right to consult directly with the diagnosing veterinarians to confirm the diagnosis before approving any claims.
Once confirmed, the Buyer may choose between:
• A replacement puppy from the next available litter, or
• Reimbursement of veterinary expenses related to the condition, up to the original purchase price.
The Buyer may keep or return the affected puppy. The Buyer is responsible for the transportation of both the replacement and/or return puppy.
4. Death from Congenital Defects: If the puppy dies from a suspected congenital defect within 24 months of purchase, an autopsy must be performed at the Buyer’s expense by a licensed DVM or veterinary teaching hospital approved by the Seller’s veterinarian. If confirmed, a replacement puppy of equal or greater value will be provided. This warranty is void if the cause of death cannot be conclusively determined.
5. Size & Coat: While the Breeder provides an informed estimate of the puppy’s adult size, coat type, color, and allergy-friendliness, these characteristics cannot be guaranteed.
6. Vaccination Policy: To maintain the health guarantee, vaccinations must be administered responsibly. Over-vaccination or administering multiple vaccines at once (such as parvo/distemper, Lyme, Lepto, Bordetella, rabies, etc.) will void the warranty. Please review your puppy’s vaccination record with your veterinarian and avoid over-vaccinating. WFD is always happy to answer questions/concerns on vaccines.
7. Heartworm, Tick & Flea Medications: Digestible combination medications (e.g., Simparica Trio) are prohibited. Using such products will void your health guarantee. We recommend traditional Heartgard for heartworm and topical solutions like Frontline for tick/flea prevention. If you have questions, please contact us for safer natural alternatives.
8. Medical Records: Your puppy will come with complete medical records of vaccinations and deworming.
9. Extended Stay: If your puppy remains with us past the designated pick-up date (8–9 weeks of age), a boarding fee of $75/day will apply for up to 10 days, if we are able to accommodate.
10. Rehoming Policy: If at any point you are unable to keep your puppy, you must return the dog to Walls Family Doodles. Refunds will be determined on a case by case basis. At no time should your dog be surrendered to a shelter or rescue.
11. Spay/Neuter Agreement: All puppies must be spayed or neutered by 12 months of age. This is a non-negotiable condition of sale. If this condition is not met, the seller retains the right to repossess the dog at buyer’s expense. This ensures the integrity of the Australian Labradoodle breed.
12. Non-Refundable Deposit: All deposits are non-refundable.
By signing this agreement, you confirm that you have read and understood the terms and agree to comply fully. This contract is designed to protect both Buyer and Seller and ensure the health and welfare of your puppy.
